About Marley Creed

Before Marley Creed became a business, it began as an innocent adventure for a young, stay at home mother. 

Marley Creed stems from a culmination of love. From the name, to the logo, to its purpose, every part of it has been carefully and strategically created. My husband, my son, and my daughter, are the core that helped to bring Marley Creed to life. Although I create each set of hair bows with my own two hands, my family are truly what holds every piece together. 

Growing up, I was always interested in all things pertaining to beauty and art. From painting on canvases to painting my nails and toes and eventually painting my face with makeup, I have always admired the beauty of exploring unique avenues of art as a form of self expression. As the years passed by, my husband and I gratefully discovered that we would be welcoming a baby boy into the world. As soon as he was here, I noticed how quickly I began to embrace dinosaurs, monster trucks, superheroes, bugs, and dirt more than I ever expected to. I put the makeup and paint brushes away for a while, as I traded in my lipstick for chapstick and I opted for more neutral shades of nail polish. My life had drastically changed and I began to change with it. I found new avenues for expressing my love for beauty and my outlook on life was completely transformed. My whole world was wrapped up in this little angel of mine and he really opened me up to a new and exciting way of life that I never knew was possible. Then a few years later, we became blessed to create and bring another child into the world. During our 20 week ultrasound, hearing those words, “It’s a girl,” were like a unicorn glided into the dinosaur land of my heart and my soul was complete. I was so blessed to have both a son and a daughter and so excited to fully embrace my feminine side again, I immediately wanted to go shopping! And shop I did. The sections and choices for baby girls were very different from what I was used to with my son. And the accessories were speaking to me in a way that had awakened my inner princess. From bracelets and sandals to hair bands and hair bows, I was beginning to remember what it was like to be in love with these beautiful things all over again. So of course once my daughter arrived, she had to have matching headbands to go with each outfit, even if she was just sleeping all day. And headbands eventually morphed into hair bows as she grew older. But with all of that growth, came a lot of strength. Although she was so divine and feminine in her pretty, petite structure, her strength was definitely developing. On our trips elsewhere, I noticed that she would start to yank her hair bows out of her hair, and as a result, the bows would fall apart completely. That is when I began inspecting the hair bows more closely and I became aware of how poorly they seemed to be put together. I knew I had to do something about it. I eventually realized that the hanging wall of hair bows were all unable to stand up against her increasing strength. Not a single bow could stay together once she was done with them. So I had to make a decision. Should I stop putting bows on her altogether? Yeah right! Should I keep purchasing bows that could potentially fall a part so easily? Absolutely not! So I had no other choice than to create my own. High quality hair bows that I knew she would not be able to destroy. And ones with an elegant and luxurious design so that I could effortlessly match them up with each and every item of clothing that she would wear! The challenge was accepted. And it was no easy feat. Let me tell you! But through a lot of diligence, effort, perseverance, and literal blood, sweat, and tears, Marley Creed was officially born!
